Sessional Tutor - Dance

Overview

Dance Tutor we are looking to recruit a sessional Tutor(s) to deliver Dance courses in the Aylesbury Vale area in a variety of genres. In particular we would be interested to hear from applicants that are qualified to teach Ballet Barre.

Buckinghamshire Adult Learning is part of the Learning, Skills and Prevention Service, whose mission is: to provide inclusive learning opportunities that promote well-being and inspire people living or working in Buckinghamshire to achieve their potential.

The service is principally funded by the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) and we are subject to inspection by OFSTED. For roles within the Learning for Personal Development team, courses are no longer funded or under Ofsted, however they are still monitored to ensure that the quality of the provision is maintained.

About the role

We are looking to recruit a tutor(s) to work flexibly between 1-2 hours (possibly more, depending on demand) per week during the daytime / evening.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering weekly classes of 5 – 7 week courses, which stretch and challenge learners' knowledge and skills.

About you

• Applicants should hold an introductory teaching/training award such as City & Guilds PTLLS/Award in Education and Training (or willing to obtain one within 6 months of appointment). 
• A subject specific qualification.
• It is essential that all our tutors can plan and deliver high quality sessions while maintaining good records of student progress. 
• The successful candidate(s) will support adult learners to develop their knowledge and skills and contribute to the development of a learner centre provision.

Other information

Hourly rate: £22.76 - £35.45 per hour, depending on teaching qualifications held.
