Overview

We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team.

The successful candidate will be calm, confident, flexible and able to build positive relationships with students. Previous experience of supervising secondary-aged students in a classroom environment is essential. Appropriate training and ongoing support will be provided. Applicants should hold GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics. This role offers an excellent opportunity for suitably motivated candidates who are considering a career in teaching, providing valuable classroom experience and a potential route into teacher training.

Salary type: Bucks Pay

Salary Details: Bucks Pay Range 4: 21-25 £31,424 - £33,735 pro rata (Actual: £23,027 - £24,721, term time only inclusive of 1st INSET day - 0.7328 FTE)

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time, The role is for five days per week, working 8.15 a.m. to 3.15 p.m.

About the role

To cover short term absence of teaching staff, taking sole charge of a group of pupils.

Pupils will learn by carrying out pre-prepared work under supervision. On occasions active teaching may be necessary.

The primary focus will be to maintain good order and to keep pupils on task.
