About the role
This is far more than a traditional support role. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant at Steeple Claydon School, you will play a pivotal part in shaping children's learning experiences and helping them to achieve their full potential. We are looking for someone who thrives on variety, enjoys taking on responsibility and is passionate about making a difference every single day.
No two days are the same. One day you may be working alongside a class teacher to support learning, delivering targeted interventions or helping a child overcome a barrier to success. The next, you may be leading learning independently, providing high-quality teaching cover and inspiring a whole class to achieve their best. It is a diverse, stimulating and highly rewarding role that offers the opportunity to have a genuine impact across the school.
Working under the direction of the Headteacher and teaching staff, you will contribute to a wide range of teaching and learning activities, supporting individual pupils, small groups and whole classes. You will complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities and ensuring that every child is challenged, supported and encouraged to succeed.
What makes this role special is the team around you. At Steeple Claydon, we believe that great schools are built on strong relationships. Our staff are supportive, collaborative and committed to helping one another grow. We celebrate successes together, tackle challenges together and are united by a shared ambition to provide the very best opportunities for our children. As we enter an exciting new chapter under new leadership, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a school where your ideas, expertise and contribution will be valued and where you can play a key role in shaping our future.
