For September 2026 Dr Challoner's Grammar School is seeking to appoint to a new role of Sixth Form Learning Support Officer, created in response to an increase in the number of students in our co-educational Sixth Form.  This is a part time role, 20 hours per week, preferably worked across 5 mornings.

Salary Details: £11,907 - £13,162 pa pro rata for 20 hrs/week

About the role

Th postholder will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a quiet, purposeful atmosphere in our new learning space, and will act as first port of call for students who might need assistance in developing independent study skills.

The postholder will also support the work of the  Director  of  Sixth  Form  and  the  Sixth Form  team  in  relation  to  Character  Challenge  activities,  careers  support  and  UCAS applications.

About you

We are seeking someone educated to A  level or equivalent, who has experience of working with young people and in a school environment, with excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with students and colleagues.
