About the role

Three days per week, you will work in conjunction with the specialist Music and ICT teachers delivering lessons across all KS1 and KS2 year groups as part of the PPA cover carousel.  The remainder of the time will be spent developing and embedding PE with the curriculum and pupils learning as well as supporting pupil participation in lunchtime and after school dance, gymnastics, and sport clubs.

The role is ideally full time, but we would consider offering the position on a part time basis for 4 days per week for the right candidate. Ideally, we are looking for someone able to start from September 2026, however, we will consider applications from candidates who cannot start until January 2027.

About you

We are looking for someone with:

•    A teaching qualification (B.Ed, PGCE, etc)
•    Minimum 2 years post-qualification teaching experience in similar role and subject area. 
•    Experience teaching either Music to both EYFS/ KS1 and KS2 is essential
•    Excellent interpersonal skills with both adults and children.
•    Willingness and ability to work as part of a team.
•    Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
•    Ability to prioritise and organise your own work.
•    Ability to work effectively to a high standard, on occasion, under pressure, meeting deadlines.
•    Knowledge of Health and Safety & Safeguarding/Child Protection procedures and their application.
•    Knowledge of the use of technology in the classroom and via remote learning and the ability to use ICT tools for record-keeping and as an instructional tool.
•    Ability to offer enrichment and extracurricular activities
