Overview
Following the flexi retirement of our long-standing School Business Manager, the children, staff and Governors of our small village school are looking for a new member of staff to join the office team.
We are looking for a friendly, organised and proactive person to join the team. This is a varied and rewarding role combining administrative responsibilities, welcoming and dealing with visitors, external professionals, children and parents face to face, via email and on the phone. Our office administrator will also be required to offer basic first aid support, be proactive in safeguarding and much more. It would be fair to say, no two days are the same!

About the role
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the school office
- Handling pupil records including attendance
- Supporting staff, parents and pupils
- Maintaining accurate data using the MIS system (SIMS)
- Managing iPal booking system
- Authorising invoices
- Being a designated safeguarding officer
- Managing medicines

- Approachable and calm under pressure
- Strong communication, organisational and time management skills
- Good IT skills and data entry experience
- An ability to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality
