Overview

Robertswood School is a welcoming school set within the leafy village of Chalfont St Peter. We are a two-form entry school, educating children from Reception through to Year 6. We are delighted to also have the benefit of a Nursery for over 3 year olds. We currently have around 400 children on roll.

Term time only: No

Salary type: MPS/UPS

Salary Details: MPS/UPS according to experience

Contract type: Fixed Term

Hours: Full-time

About the role

The role of class Teacher will:

  • Establish a safe and stimulating environment for pupils, rooted in mutual respect
  • Set goals that stretch and challenge pupils of all backgrounds, abilities and dispositions
  • Demonstrate consistently the positive attitudes, values and behaviour which are expected of pupils
  • Be accountable for pupils' attainment, progress and outcomes
  • Adapt teaching to respond to strengths and needs of pupils
  • Be aware of pupils' capabilities and prior knowledge, and plan teaching to build on these
  • Having a secure knowledge of the relevant subjects and curriculum areas, fostering and maintaining pupils' interest in the subject, and addressing misunderstandings
