Overview

Stony Dean School are looking to recruit a talented, kind and inspiring SEN teacher to work with our experienced and caring team.

This post would suit an ECT or an experienced teacher, either with a background in primary or secondary education.

We are looking for a candidate who can deliver quality first teaching to a range of students either within our newly formed Y7 primary model dept or across KS3-5. These can be discussed further at interview.

Salary: MPS/UPS (SEN Allowance)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full Time or Part Time (to be discussed at interview, specify on application form)

About the role

As a Teacher you will be an outstanding classroom practitioner who consistently demonstrates the highest standards of delivery, is fully committed to raising attainment across all key stages and acutely aware of the strategies required to achieve the highest standards within their subject area.

About you

The successful candidate will have the following key competencies:

  • Excellent classroom practitioner with a wide range of teaching skills: knowledge and understanding of teaching SEN across a broad spectrum of abilities;
  • High level inter-personal skills enabling effective collaborative working;
  • To be able to use classroom and behaviour management techniques effectively;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with and implement the advice of specialists working within the school (e.g. Speech and Language Therapists) in their own classroom.
