This role is a wonderful opportunity to make a real difference! You will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to support individual pupils, helping them to access learning, grow in confidence and develop independence.

Salary Details: From £24,234 pa, full time equivalent, pro rata for hours worked, term time only

About the role

Our dedicated team are passionate about delivering an ambitious and inclusive curriculum that meets the needs of all learners, including those with special educational needs and disabilities.

Strong communication skills are essential and experience or an understanding of supporting pupils with special educational needs would be preferable.

As part of our committed team, you will:

  • Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to build pupils' confidence and independence
  • Develop positive, trusting relationships that nurture personal, social and emotional growth
  • Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging lessons and adapt activities to meet individual needs
  • Help create a welcoming, structured and inclusive learning environment
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies to ensure every pupil remains safe and supported

About you

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of working with children in a school setting
  • Is compassionate, patient and enthusiastic about supporting children's learning
  • Has an interest in working with pupils with special educational needs
  • Holds GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Communicates clearly and confidently
