Carrington Junior School are looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking Catering Assistant to join our team after Easter and help provide nutritious hot lunches to our pupils.
This is a vital role in supporting children's health and wellbeing in a safe and welcoming environment.

Hours: Part-time, The hours of work will be 3 hours a day - 11.15 - 2:15.

About us
We are a two-form entry Junior School in the village of Flackwell Heath on a linking site to the Infant School. Our school benefits from friendly, happy, motivated children and staff team, and is well supported by parents/carers and governors. Our school has an 8 place ARP for pupils with ASD. Carrington Junior School is a dynamic place to work with lots going on and a supportive staff team.

About the role
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the dining area and kitchen for lunch service, adhering to high cleanliness standards.
- Liaise with delivery staff, taking delivery of the hot lunches from our hub school.
- Lead and maintain recording keeping to adhere to environmental health standards.
- Serve hot lunches to pupils, ensuring dietary needs and allergens are managed appropriately.
- Support children in making healthy food choices.
- Support the clearing up of eating and service areas, and wash up after service.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in line with Environmental Health guidelines.
