About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our flourishing school, and we are seeking a dynamic and inspirational teacher of Personal Development, PSHE and Philosophy and Ethics.
At the Buckingham School we put our wonderful students at the heart of everything that we do. The Buckingham Way expects staff and students to take responsibility, be reflective and respectful. Above all else, we are kind.
The school is embedding its reputation for being ambitious for all learners. We focus on high standards of behaviour and the importance of learning. Our reputation as a great place to work and be educated is growing rapidly. If you are seeking an opportunity to work in such an exciting, aspirational, and fun workplace, then this will prove to be an exciting opportunity for you.
Central to our PD curriculum are the three core learning behaviours: Responsibility, Respect, and Reflection. These values are embedded throughout our teaching and help shape well-rounded individuals who are prepared to contribute positively to society. The Philosophy and Ethics curriculum aims to give our students valuable insights into the diverse beliefs and opinions held by people today, in order to aid students’ own personal development and to support an understanding of the spiritual, moral, social and cultural questions that surface again and again in their lives.
This is an exciting period to join The Buckingham School; we recently completed 2.5 million pounds of renovation work within the school. As part of this renovation, we have installed four new state-of-the-art science laboratories, taking the total we have to nine. We have seen steady improvement in all areas of the school over the past three years and we will continue in our quest to become the community school of choice within the locality. We are ambitious, oversubscribed and our students are fantastic to work with.
Applications are welcome from ECTs as well as experienced teachers.
We have a proven track record of support and development and an excellent ECT package is available.
In return, we will offer you:
● A professional, supportive and experienced Team, including excellent technical support
● A personalised approach to Continuing Professional Development
● A role in a school that has a clear vision
● The opportunity to work with students who possess excellent attitudes to learning
