Overview
The Bucks Primary PRU, have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join our SLT to start in April 2026 or earlier if possible for handover of role. This role can be based at either Pathways in Aylesbury or The Oaks in Amersham or Woodlands in High Wycombe, to suit the needs of the successful applicant and the wider senior leadership team.

Salary Details: Bucks Pay Range 9 - FTE £52312 5 days a week term time only approx - £41849
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time/Part-time

About the role
- Ensuring/providing the delivery of expert information and advice across a range of topics including procurement, finance and personnel matters
- Interpret complex information and recommend actions in all areas of responsibility and expertise.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of policies and best practice for all areas. Supporting SLT colleagues as appropriate,
- Provide expert advice support and guidance to SLT colleagues in the development of policies and plans ensuring that the objectives and priorities are implemented and reviewed systematically.
- Provide support to SLT and the Management Committee in developing new initiatives and managing change.
- Manage and support for the administration teams so that they can meet their day-to-day responsibilities, as well as the specific areas of responsibilities as defined by the Headteacher.
- Lead and support the administration team so that the PRU's administration systems and structures provide an excellent service to meet the needs of the PRU.

About you
- Experience of running an administrative department and / or section
- Successful and relevant leadership experience
- Successful strategic experience
- Experience of budgetary management and control within a large organisation
- Knowledge and experience of a variety of financial management systems and processes and procedures
- Experience of motivating and leading staff
- Exceptional planning and organisational skills including management deadlines
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- Skills and confidence to coach and mentor staff and tackle underperformance
