Overview
Booker Park School is seeking a caring, motivated Assistant Teacher to support pupils with special educational needs. You'll work with individuals, groups and whole classes, helping deliver engaging learning and supporting pupils' personal and academic development.
Term time only: Yes 39 weeks including INSET days
Salary Details: Bucks pay Range 4 £25,679-£27,568 per annum (FTE £30,361-£32,594)
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time 37 hrs per week, Monday/Tuesday/Thursday 8.30am – 4.30pm, Wednesday 8.30am - 5.00pm, Fridays 8.30am - 5.00pm

About the role
- Support teaching and learning in class
- Lead whole‑class sessions during teacher absence
- Assist pupils with SEN, including personal care
- Create positive relationships and promote independence
- Help plan lessons, prepare resources and record progress
- Responsible for checking emails regularly and keeping up to date with all school and Vale Federation communication
- To represent the school in a positive way in the community
- Work alongside the class Teacher to ensure the quality of education within the classroom is maintained during the Teacher’s absence
- Help pupils to access learning activities through specialist support
