We are looking for the ideal candidate to be responsible for the service and supervision of school meals, including the preparation and cleaning of the kitchen, dining room, and utensils, ensuring a safe, calm, and positive lunchtime environment for pupils

Job Title: Lunchtime Server

Start Date: 23rd February 2026

Hours: 12.5 hours per week. 10:45am – 1:15pm, Monday to Friday

Term time only: Yes

Salary: Bucks Pay Range 1a, Point 5 (£12.33 per hour)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Lunchtime Server to support the smooth running of school mealtimes. The role involves supervising pupils during lunch, assisting with meal service, and maintaining a clean and safe dining environment.

  • Assist with setting up service counters and serving food according to the service method in use
  • Ensure the kitchen and hall are appropriately prepared for lunchtime service
  • Support and supervise children during mealtimes, offering assistance where appropriate
  • Liaise with the School Office regarding allergens and children’s meal preferences
  • Ensure children have appropriate meals before being seated

Qualifications / Training

  • Basic Food Handling Training (including Food Hygiene) – desirable
  • Experience of working with children – desirable but not essential
  • Willingness to undertake training as required
