Robertswood School is looking to employ an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant who is an inspirational, friendly and driven individual, who can support our children in achieving their goals. Term Time only
Salary Type: Bucks Pay
Salary Details: Range 2 - 11-15 / £13.28 - £14.39ph dependent upon experience
Hours: Part-time; Monday to Friday 08:35-15:35
Contract Type: Fixed term contract until August 2026 with the view of extending from September 2026.

About us

Robertswood School is a welcoming school set within the leafy village of Chalfont St Peter. We are a two-form entry school, educating children from Reception through to Year 6. We are delighted to also have the benefit of a Nursery for over 3 year olds. We currently have around 400 children on roll.

About the role

The HLTA role will support the class teacher in delivering the learning intention and when required, cover classes in the absence of a teacher. HLTAs may be required to plan, deliver and track interventions as directed by the class teacher.
• Support Robertswood Teaching Staff team in delivering high-quality learning experiences
• Assist with child development activities tailored to individual needs
• Help create a safe, welcoming and stimulating learning environment
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff as part of a dedicated team
• Support pupils’ social, emotional and educational development
• Continue to maintain the high standards of behaviour and engagement throughout the school

About you

We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience of working with children within a school setting and enjoys working in a busy environment
• Is passionate about children’s learning and in every child achieving their full potential
• Is caring and has lots of enthusiasm and patience
• Is flexible and willing to collaborate as part of a supportive team
• Minimum requirement of GCSE English and Maths qualification (Grade 4 or above – or equivalent)
• Holds a TA NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, or has relevant HLTA experience

Candidates must also be able to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
