About the role
We're excited to offer an opportunity for a Teacher of Physics to join our outstanding Science team.
It is an exciting time to work with the Science team, with large numbers of students choosing to study the triple sciences at GCSE, along with ever-increasing numbers of students studying the sciences including Physics at A level.

The department plays a full part in the academy's role as Lead Careers School for Bucks (and an Area of Excellence recognised nationally by Challenge Partners)
The KS3 curriculum covers a broad range of topics and is taught to provide the foundation knowledge required for success in the sciences. At GCSE we follow the AQA Triple Science and Trilogy Science courses. At A-Level, Physics follows the AQA specification.
The Science department works closely with our excellent careers team to take the lead in a wide range of STEM opportunities for students. Recent experiences include:

- Year 9 and 10 Johnson & Johnson STEM day
- A level trip to Reading University
- PPMA Best Virtual STEM Day

About you
- Qualifications Essential
- A good honours degree in Physics or a closely related subject (e.g. Engineering, Astrophysics)
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS or equivalent) with Teaching Experience
- Eligibility to work as a teacher in the UK
- Secure subject knowledge across the Physics curriculum
- A postgraduate qualification (e.g. MSc, PhD) in Physics or Education
- Evidence of ongoing professional development in Physics education
- Training or accreditation related to STEM enrichment or curriculum leadership
