Salary Details: Bucks Pay Range 2 (Actual salary £19,684 - £21,332 per annum)

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time. 33.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (Permanent)

Working Days: Mon, Wed & Fri 8:30am -3:30pm and Tues & Thur 8:30am -4:00pm

Required: January 2026

Working as a Teaching Assistant may be the role for you. We can offer you a high degree of flexibility around working days/ hours and working during term-time only. This is a fulfilling role where you get to make a very real difference to the lives of individual students. We are seeking individuals to join our committed team of Teaching Assistants to help our young people reach their full potential. You will be part of our specialist SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) team, which is dedicated to delivering the correct support to individual students. SEND students are at the heart of our academy and this role is integral to helping some of our most vulnerable students to succeed. This could be support in lessons or working 1:1 on targeted areas of support.

You do not need previous experience in this role and comprehensive training will be provided.

However, the following skills will be beneficial:

Enthusiasm for working with young people to help them succeed

The ability to inspire and be creative

About you

Your responsibilities will include:
-Working collaboratively with subject teachers to ensure students’ progress in individual subjects
-Acting as a positive role model both socially and academically
-Helping to foster and develop positive relationships with staff and peers
-Being flexible to meet the dynamic needs of the SEND department on a daily basis
-Identifying personal training needs and attending appropriate internal and external training
-Being involved in maintaining records, undertaking assessment and evaluating identified students’ needs
-Ensuring inclusive practice and equality of opportunity for all
