Overview

The school is seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant Trainee. The role will require support of students in the classroom and would suit a cheerful individual who can work independently or in a team. An ability or willingness to support literacy or numeracy skills and individual development is essential.

Waddesdon School is an oversubscribed all ability 11–18 school, set in rural Buckinghamshire. The school is 30 minutes away from Oxford and also within easy commuting distance from Milton Keynes. There are just over 1000 students on roll, including 300 in the Sixth Form. The school has an excellent reputation for CPD and recognises and values the contributions of all staff.

About the role

Working in partnership with the class teacher, to support the education, personal and social development of pupils in the class, including those with special educational needs and/or bilingual needs, and to establish positive relationships with pupil.

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent including English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
  • Level 2 or above qualification –appropriate to the post
