Overview

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Lunchtime Assistant to join our team at Newtown School, starting November 2025.

Job Salary: Bucks Pay Range 1A.5 - £12.33 per hour

Contract type: Fixed term contract until 31.08.26 with the potential to extend to a permanent contract

Hours: Monday to Friday, 11.20am until 12:55pm term time only (38 weeks per year)

About the role

This role involves supervision of children in the lunch hall, putting out and setting tables, serving food, clearing and cleaning tables and loading and unloading the dishwasher.

About you

Previous experience of working or volunteering with both children and as part of a team would be desirable but not essential. The ability to read English to a reasonable level is important as the successful candidate will have to use cleaning products, complete a food hygiene course and support pupils with food allergies. Please note that this role does involve some manual lifting.
