Overview

This is a permanent, term time only position at St Louis Catholic Primary School, Aylesbury. St Louis is part of the St Thomas Catholic Academy Trust (STCAT).

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8.15 am to 3.30pm.

Salary range: Bucks Pay Range 1 Point 6 - 10 dependent on experience and qualifications.

Start date: As soon as possible and when all safer recruitment checks have been completed.

Term time only

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Part-time

About the role

This is a rewarding opportunity to work as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, supporting a child with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and communication difficulties. The role involves building positive, trusting relationships to help the child engage with learning and develop both socially and academically. You will play a key part in creating a safe, supportive environment where the child can thrive, using patience, empathy and clear communication to overcome challenges. The role can at times be demanding, so resilience, flexibility and a calm, consistent approach are essential. In return, you will have the satisfaction of knowing your support makes a real difference to a child’s progress and wellbeing.
