We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate KS1 1:1 Support Assistant to join our friendly village primary school team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the life of a child who needs additional support.

Salary: Bucks Pay Range 2 11 - 15 dependent upon experience

Contract type: Temporary

Hours: Full time

About the role

- Provide 1:1 support for a KS1 pupil, helping them to thrive both academically and emotionally.
- Work closely with the class teacher and wider staff to create a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment.
- Contribute to the wellbeing and development of a child with additional needs, including supporting with challenging behaviour and the impact of trauma.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

- Has experience of working with children with challenging behaviour and/or who have experienced trauma.
- Ideally has experience of working with previously looked after children.
- Is patient, resilient and nurturing, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
- Can work well as part of a small, supportive team.
- Understands the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality.
