Site Team Assistant - John Hampden Grammar School

Overview

We are looking for a real team player with the ability to be flexible to requests for support within a busy school environment and assisting our Site Manager to provide a clean and safe environment for all users of our school buildings and grounds. This is an important role within the school and a positive attitude and calm manner along with the ability to prioritise and deal with a demanding workload is vital. 

Salary Type: Bucks pay

Salary details: Bucks Pay Range 1 £23,996 - £24,950 per annum (apprenticeship route) or Bucks Pay Range 2 £25,625 - £27,770 per annum (non-apprenticeship route)

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week on a shift rota basis from 6:30am to 7:30pm. There may be some flexibility with hours so please state your preference in your application.

About the role

Principal Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assisting the Site Manager/Health & Safety Manager to provide a clean and safe environment for users of the school buildings and grounds.
- Being responsible for locking and unlocking the school on a rota basis which may involve lone working.
- Undertaking Health & Safety checks and general ‘handyperson’ maintenance around the School.
- Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of all students. 

About you

You will be an excellent communicator, confident dealing with staff, students, parents and visitors to the school. You will have good attention to detail and have the capacity to work in an environment that requires diplomacy, tact and confidentiality. The role offers an opportunity to undertake a Facilities Management apprenticeship for the right candidate.
