This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where your coordination skills and commitment to inclusive education will help shape the success of our learners and support staff alike.

This is a part time position, working 20 hours per week.

About us

Buckinghamshire Council is a relatively new organisation that combines the strengths and expertise of the previous five councils in the county to create positive change for local people, communities, and businesses. We are firmly focused on the future and have made a clear commitment to serve residents better and to provide stronger representation for Buckinghamshire, both locally and nationally.

Buckinghamshire is an ambitious, rapidly growing county, and our economy is one of the strongest in the country. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty and ranks as one of the top rural areas to live in the UK and yet it is incredibly well connected– only an hour from London on the train. The county has a rich history and heritage and is the birthplace of the international Paralympic movement.

We are looking for motivated, ambitious and inspiring people to join us on our journey. You will be entitled to a range of different benefits to make sure you are happy both at work and at home.

  • Recruiting and inducting new LSAs, arranging training, and ensuring DBS checks are completed.
  • Managing support staff schedules, covering absences, and processing pay and expenses.
  • Recording and tracking learner support data for audit and quality assurance purposes.
  • Collaborating with curriculum coordinators, business support, and quality teams to ensure seamless delivery of support services.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Organised and proactive, with the ability to plan ahead and respond quickly to changing needs.
  • A strong communicator, confident in liaising with a range of stakeholders and ensuring accurate information is shared.
  • Tech-savvy, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Experienced in education or support services, ideally with knowledge of post-16 learning support.
  • Collaborative and trustworthy, embodying our values of being Proud, Ambitious, Collaborative, and Trustworthy.
