About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a person interested in music, looking to gain some initial experience working in the School’s Music Department. Typical tasks will include organising rehearsals and extra-curricular activities. Some practical participation will be required.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills are required together with the ability to use initiative and work under pressure.

Above all, applicants must enjoy music and working with young people.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

Maths and English to at least GCSE Grade C or equivalent
Musical instrument qualification (desirable)

EXPERIENCE

Experience in working within a school environment (desirable)
IT competency
Experience of organising events (desirable)
Experience of working with young people (desirable)

PERSONAL SKILLS AND QUALITIES

The ability to work as part of a team
The ability to work independently, use initiative but take direction
Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
Excellent interpersonal skills
