Hours: 27.5 hours per week, term time only, 8.45am - 3.15pm, plus 30 mins for a team meeting plus holiday allowance.

About the role
To work under the guidance/ instruction of the class teacher to support an individual child with specifically identified leaning needs or a small group of children who need academic or emotional support. Support will be needed to help the pupil/s maintain good behaviour, organisation, hygiene when required, social skills and engage with their learning in a successful way across the curriculum.
Key tasks:
• Ensure all safeguarding procedures and practices are followed related to the identified child and all other children within the school.
• Support an identified child in lessons to enable them to access their learning and produce good learning outcomes.
• Manage the pupil’s behaviour, when required, to ensure that the pupil and other children in the class are able to focus on the learning.
• Support the pupil/s to organise their resources and equipment throughout the school day.
• Deliver formal and informal interventions to the pupil/s to support their development.
• To work under the direction of the teacher and Inclusion Manager to support the child.
• Communicate with teacher, Inclusion Manager, other relevant staff, parents and external professional when required with information relating to the child/ren.
• Assist with adapting learning materials to scaffold the learning for the child/ren.
• To contribute to target setting meetings and reviewing paperwork created to support the child’s/ren’s progress.
• Promote independence in the child’s/ren’s approach to school life and wider life.
• Undertake relevant training where appropriate to support the child/ren and wider school life.
