An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Learning Support Assistant to join our outstanding team, who is committed to educating, motivating and celebrating learners with special educational needs and disabilities. This position is working term time only (plus 5 inset days). Heritage House School has expanded its numbers on roll to support learners in Buckinghamshire.

Salary Type: Bucks pay

Salary details: Bucks Pay Range 2 £24,879 - £26,961 pro-rata (Actual salary £18,982.67 - £20,571.24)

Contract type: Permanent, Casual or Fixed term considered

Hours: Term time only plus 5 Inset days (33.25 hours per week). Monday, Tuesday and Friday 8.45am to 3.30pm , Wednesday 8.30am to 4.30pm, Thursday 8.45am to 4.15pm

About us

Heritage House School in Chesham is a special school where our learners are at the heart of everything we do. Our aim is to enable children and young people to learn and achieve within an enriching, relevant, stimulating and enjoyable curriculum. In doing so, we will ensure our children and young people enjoy educational and social experiences which will prepare them for life beyond Heritage House.

Some of the social experiences that our learners take part in are hydrotherapy sessions in our own pool, as well as swimming in the local community pool, and a wide variety of trips such as local horse-riding, tennis and sailing.

About the role

The successful candidate will be joining a dedicated and talented team, working closely with the teachers to enhance the learning experiences of small groups of learners in a classroom environment. Please see attached job description for further details about this rewarding role. The role is working 33.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

About you

We are looking for someone who is interested in working with children and young people with special educational needs who is adaptive, creative and enthusiatic and would be dedicated to putting our learners at the heart of everything we do. If this is you, we would love to hear from you. We offer full support through an induction programme and in-house training and mentoring. Experience is desirable but not essential but you must have a willingness to learn. Early applications are strongly advised.
