Wellbeing Assistant (University Placement) - Stony Dean School

Overview
This position will provide a fantastic opportunity to work in an outstanding special school in a varied role, working with highly knowledgeable staff. You will have the opportunity to work in a team that consists of Speech and Language Therapists, An Occupational Therapist, Counsellors, Autism Specialist Teachers and Mental Health Support staff (including work with pupils with Emotionally Based School Avoidance). We also work collaboratively with outside agencies.
The week will consist of 4 days' being a voluntary Well-being Assistant, which will have a balance of research/project work, 1:1 therapeutic intervention, ad-hoc social, emotional and mental health support for pupils, general school life admin and team working.
On Fridays, you will be paid as a Learning Support Assistant, helping you to build an understanding of the pupil’s day to day learning journey, to give you a better insight into the whole child.

Salary details: 4 Days voluntary work, 1 Day per week paid at Bucks Pay Range 1b £23,297 Pro Rata, Actual Salary £3,738
