Teaching Assistant - Hamilton Academy

Overview
Hamilton Academy is looking to employ a Teaching Assistant. The role will initially be focused on supporting pupils 1-to-1 with Special Educational Needs (SEN) reporting to the SENCo, but could also include working with other individuals or groups under the direction of the class teacher and Year Group Leader. The role may be based in any key stage within the school, from EYFS to KS2.
Term time only
Salary Type: Bucks pay
Salary details: Actual starting salary £14,970 (£13.65p/h equivalent), more for an experienced candidate.
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: 28.75 hours per week (5.75hrs/day Mon-Fri), 38 weeks per year (term time only)

About the role
The role will involve supporting our pupils under the direction of the Year Group Leader and/or the SENCo. The successful candidate will work as part of a year group team to ensure all children receive a high quality and stimulating educational experience which meets their individual needs and supports all aspects of the curriculum.
About you
Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate they have the experience and/or skills to support pupils in class and through individual or small group interventions. You should be able to demonstrate that you have strong communication skills, are positive, flexible in attitude and approach, as well as being able to use your own initiative.
