We are seeking to appoint a flexible, enthusiastic and highly motivated Learning Support Assistant to work in a Year 5 class.

You will need to have a good subject matter knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and knowledge and experience of working with children with additional needs including autism, ADHD, and attachment difficulties.

You will be joining a strong, supportive and friendly team in our popular and successful Junior school.

Salary Type: Bucks pay

Salary details: £23,297 to £24,223FTE, ACTUAL SALARY £16,876 to £17,547 DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

Contract type: Fixed Term

Hours: 32.5 hours a week. 8.30am till 3.30pm each day, 30 mins unpaid lunch.

About you

Candidates should be sensitive and firm with good behaviour management, and have high expectations of pupils and themselves and to be a good team player. In addition to working with the pupil the candidate will need to have skills to work alongside parents and carers and external agencies involved with the pupil.

Candidates will need a minimum of GCSE in English and Maths. Experience or training with children with special educational needs is essential, as would a knowledge and understanding of Autism and ADHD. It would be advantageous to have training for supporting pupils with SEN needs in addition to a Learning Support Assistant qualification.

Candidates need to be willing to take part in continual improvement throughout the school and be able to use their initiative.
