Overview

We are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work as a combination of a 1-1 (child with an EHCP) and as a General Teaching Assistant. This is a maternity leave cover, starting in January 2025, initially for 2 terms, therefore ending in July 2025. The role is full time. Bucks Pay range 1, point 6.

About the role

The role requires the individual to support the pupil in lessons within the classroom, to deliver targeted interventions as set out on the child’s EHCP. As part of the role the individual will be required to record interventions, monitor against the EHCP and liaise with the SENDCo so that all key information is available for SEN support plan and EHCP reviews.

About you

Key Skills required:
• Confidence in liaising with class teachers and outside professionals
• Confident to the key link between the teacher and the parents
• Good level of spoken and written English / maths
• Knowledge of all primary areas preferable
• Understanding of Social, Language and Communication needs
• Ability to adapt tasks to meet the needs of the child
